Choose Insightful if

  • You need an on-premise deployment
  • You want very high screenshot frequency (up to 120 per hour with an add-on)

How each tool decides what counts as productive

Insightful asks admins to label apps and websites productive, neutral or unproductive, with exceptions and an auto-recommendation mode to speed it up. Reports then roll those labels into productivity, utilisation and workload views.

TaskQo labels the minute. It captures one screenshot per tracked minute, classifies clear-cut work from the app in focus and sends the rest to AI vision. Each minute carries a one-line reason, so you can see why a stretch counted as productive, not just which app was open.

Screenshots, recording and what they cost

Insightful includes automated screenshots and sells on-demand screenshots ($4), higher frequency up to 120 per hour ($3) and screen recording ($4) as per-seat monthly add-ons. That keeps the base price low and lets you pay only for what you use.

TaskQo includes one screenshot per tracked minute as the basis of every classification, plus optional screen video compiled into one replay per shift with chapters at flagged moments, so you can jump to the moment that matters instead of watching hours.

Call review and coaching

Insightful has a call-center solution page, but we found no call recording, transcription or call QA features.

When call review is on, TaskQo records both sides of supported calls and meetings during configured shifts. One click on a recording gives a speaker-labelled transcript in 39 languages, a QA score for communication, issue resolution and professionalism, the customer's reaction, and coaching notes a manager can act on.

Stealth or open monitoring

Insightful offers a visible mode and a stealth mode, in which team members cannot interact with the app.

TaskQo has no hidden mode. Consent is recorded before the first capture, monitoring only runs during scheduled shifts, the tracker shows when a screenshot is taken and every team member has a self-view with the same timeline their manager sees.

Shifts, attendance and pay

Insightful covers clock-in and clock-out, breaks, shift scheduling, schedule adherence and absence alerts. Payroll is marked as coming soon on its pricing page.

TaskQo already turns tracked shifts into payroll-ready hours: overtime, breaks, holidays, hourly rates and salaries with deductions, weekly approval and CSV or PDF export.

Pricing

Insightful lists $8, $12 and $16 per seat per month, billed annually, with a 7-day trial; capture features above the basics are add-ons.

Where Insightful is stronger

  • An on-premise option
  • Very flexible capture settings, up to 120 screenshots an hour

Switching from Insightful to TaskQo

Start with one team rather than the whole company. Install the TaskQo desktop app, set the shift schedule and monitoring settings, invite the team, and compare the first few shifts with what your current tool told you. Performance data builds from the first tracked shift.
