At a glance
| Feature | TaskQo | CurrentWare |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | BPOs, call centers, support and sales teams that need to know what got done, not just hours | IT, security, HR, compliance teams and MSPs that need monitoring plus endpoint control |
| How work is classified | Every tracked minute is labelled productive, unproductive or idle. Clear-cut work is classified from the app in focus; AI vision reviews the rest. Each result shows its screenshot and a one-line reason | Websites and apps graded productive, unproductive or neutral (editable defaults, per group); score weights 1, 0.5 and 0 |
| Screenshots and video | One screenshot per tracked minute; optional screen video compiled into one replay per shift, with chapters at flagged moments | Screenshot Monitoring add-on, off by default, can trigger on website categories; OCR search |
| Call recording and QA | Yes. Records both sides of supported calls and meetings during shifts; one-click speaker-labelled transcript in 39 languages, QA score and coaching notes | Not listed |
| Shifts, attendance and pay | Fixed or flexible shifts, leave, holidays, overtime and breaks; hourly and salary pay with deductions; weekly approval; payroll-ready CSV and timesheet PDF | Not listed (activity and work-time reports only) |
| Privacy and self-view | Consent recorded before the first capture; capture only inside shifts; every team member has a self-view with the same timeline as their manager; sensitive screens kept only as a general description | Stealth mode by default (client hidden); can be switched to a visible tray icon. Self-view not listed |
| Mouse jigglers and other cheating | Flags patterns linked to mouse jigglers, remote-desktop sessions and virtual machines, with the minutes attached. A person decides; a flag never changes pay or scores | Active vs idle time with thresholds; no mouse-jiggler detection listed |
Different buyers, different jobs
CurrentWare combines BrowseReporter (activity monitoring), BrowseControl (web filtering), AccessPatrol (USB and device control) and enPowerManager (power management). Activity is graded productive, unproductive or neutral, and a productivity score weights them 1, 0.5 and 0.
TaskQo is built for the operations side: each tracked minute is classified with a reason and a screenshot, calls are transcribed and scored, and shifts become payroll-ready hours.
Call review and coaching
CurrentWare does not list call features.
When call review is on, TaskQo records both sides of supported calls and meetings during configured shifts. One click on a recording gives a speaker-labelled transcript in 39 languages, a QA score for communication, issue resolution and professionalism, the customer's reaction, and coaching notes a manager can act on.

Stealth by default versus consent first
CurrentWare's client runs in stealth mode by default and cannot be uninstalled without admin rights; it can be switched to show a tray icon. We found no self-view for the people being monitored.
TaskQo takes the opposite approach: consent is recorded before the first capture, capture only runs during scheduled shifts and every team member sees the same timeline and reasons their manager sees.
Shifts, attendance and pay
CurrentWare reports activity and work time but does not list attendance, schedules or payroll.
TaskQo includes shift calendars with leave and holidays, overtime, breaks, hourly and salary pay with deductions, weekly approval and CSV or PDF export.

Pricing
CurrentWare lists its Suite at $20 per user per month and single modules from $6 to $12, all billed annually with a minimum of $1,440 a year, and a 14-day trial on up to 10 computers.
Where CurrentWare is stronger
- Web filtering, USB device control and power management in one suite
- On-premise with your own SQL Server
- AI-tool usage tracking and policy enforcement
Using both
IT can keep CurrentWare for device control while operations uses TaskQo for performance. Start with one team rather than the whole company. Install the TaskQo desktop app, set the shift schedule and monitoring settings, invite the team, and compare the first few shifts with what your current tool told you. Performance data builds from the first tracked shift.
